Novel charged black hole solutions of Born-Infeld type: some properties, Smarr formula and Quasinormal modes

We explore two newly proposed models describing charged black holes within the framework of non-linear electrodynamics inspired by the Born-Infeld theory. Specifically, we begin by considering two specific Lagrangian densities and derive the associated metric potentials, electric field, Smarr formula, and (scalar) quasinormal modes for each model. Our analysis reveals that despite the apparent similarities between the models, distinct variations emerge in their quasinormal spectra.
